I’m Emily Cronin, an award-winning writer and editor for fashion magazines and national newspapers. I write about everything from pop culture to political style, and have interviewed public figures from Mick Jagger to Donatella Versace. My work appears in publications including the Financial Times, Sunday Times Style, Telegraph, Grazia and Elle UK.
Previously, I spent nearly six years as Senior Fashion Editor at the Telegraph. (Highlights: flying to Athens to cover a couture show in an ancient temple; being called ‘a rottweiler’ by a leading designer’s publicist.) Along with writing for the newspaper, weekend magazines and website, I created Fashion Unzipped, a podcast that took fashion seriously, without the seriousness.
Before that, I worked at Harper’s BAZAAR in New York and Elle UK in London. My writing on fashion, the zeitgeist, books, travel, interiors, art and business has also appeared in British Vogue, the Times and the Guardian. Although I tend to focus on fashion and style, I’m curious, nosy and game enough to write about almost anything (except sports). I also offer ghostwriting and editorial consulting services.
I got my start in fashion by winning the Vogue Talent Contest for Young Writers. I graduated from Duke University. A dual US-UK citizen, I live in London with my family.
